How to Use the Website
1. Selecting Your Range
On the homepage, you can choose the range of Surahs or Juzs for your session.
- By Default: Juz Selection
The website is initially set to Juz selection. You can enter a number between 1 and 30 for both the start Juz and the end Juz. This defines the range of the Qur'an you want to focus on.* - Switching to Surah Selection
If you'd prefer to select specific Surahs, simply toggle the switch at the top of the page to Surah selection. This allows you to choose a range based on Surahs instead of Juzs. - Surah Selection
With Surah selection, enter a number between 1 and 114 for both the start Surah and the end Surah. Alternatively, if you're unsure of the Surah number, you can use the dropdown menus to select your start and end Surahs.
2. Choosing Your Mode
Once you've selected your range, it's time to choose your mode:
- Normal Mode
In this mode, a random verse from your chosen range will be displayed. You can click "Next" at any time to move to the next verse. This is perfect for casual review or when you want to focus on memorisation without pressure. - Training Mode
Here, you will see a random verse, and you must input your guess before moving on. You can proceed after you've made a guess, which helps you focus on recalling verses actively. This mode is great for more structured memorisation practice.
Once you've selected your mode, simply click "Normal" or "Training" to start your session.
Other Useful Information
When verse information is shown, you can click on the green text to go to quran.com for more information about the verse, including the translation.
*When considering the start and end juz, it means that all Surahs will begin within the range of the start and end juz. If a Surah begins in an earlier juz, it will not be selected, even if some of the Surah falls within the chosen range. If a Surah ends in a later juz, it will be selected, in its entirety, even if some of the Surah falls outside the chosen range. If you need to have more control over exactly which Surahs are selected as the start and end, please use the Surah selection, as it will give you exactly what you need.
